CHICAGO – Crime Stoppers has announced a $10,000 reward for information about two separate murders that occurred last month and a third murder from 2016.
The first offering is for information leading to the indictment or arrest of anyone responsible for the fatal shooting of Luis Flores, 35, near Goose Island on September 29.
In a reward announcement, Cook County Crime Stoppers said Flores was standing on the sidewalk in the 1500 block of North Magnolia when someone fired shots around 2 a.m.
Shortly after the shooting, Chicago police said the driver of a red vehicle struck Flores’ car and then fired shots after Flores exited his vehicle, striking him in the right side of the chest.
A separate reward is being offered for an unrelated homicide that occurred about three hours later on the West Side.
About 5:04 a.m. on September 29, Yosper Iberra, 25, was fatally shot in the 5600 block of West Potomac, officials said. According to CPD, Iberra was inside a home when someone shot into the home from outside.
Crime Stoppers also hopes to uncover information about the murder of Israel Aragon Jr. on September 7, 2016 in Albany Park.
Officers responding to a “person down” call found Aragon lying on the sidewalk in the 4400 block of North Albany around 4:50 a.m. He had been shot in the head and was pronounced dead less than 30 minutes later.
