11 people stabbed in ecclesiastical homeless shelter in Salem, Oregon

According to the authorities, eleven people were stabbed at the end of Sunday in a homeless shelter run by the church in Oregon.

At least one staff member of the Union Evangely Mission in Salem is one of the injured after the shocking scenes around 7.15 pm, the police said.

The 11 wounded were taken to a Salem hospital with “varying types of injuries,” the police said.

The suspect, who is in custody, was new in the mission that had arrived on Saturday evening and was about to check in in the 150-person ministry for a second night when a fight broke out.
