A 15-year-old boy is accused of armed robbery after the Chicago police had scooped him for minutes after a man was robbed in Bucktown on Tuesday evening. He can also be linked to an armed carjacking that took place in Humboldt Park only a few minutes earlier.
In Bucktown, a 21-year-old man was robbed by three men who confronted him around 8:14 pm in the 1700 block of North Paulina, a spokesperson for CPD said that the robbers struck the man from behind, implied that they had weapons and took his valuable items.
Officers searched the area for three black men who wore masks, of whom a green hoodie wore, another a pink hoodie and the third a black hoodie. Officers arrested the one who wore a pink hoodie in the 1700 block of West North Avenue and accused him of the transfer. The other two got away.
About ten minutes before Bucktown’s robbery, a 58-year-old man was carjacked in Humboldt Park. He told the police that he walked to his parked vehicle when two men approached him, showed weapons and demanded the keys to his Ford F-150, said a spokesperson for CPD.
The hijackers forced the man to lie on the floor and did not order him to look at them. Nevertheless, he told the police that the robbers were a black man and a Spanish man, both about 15 years old.

CWBCHICAGO was founded in 2013 by five residents of Wigleyville and Boystown who had been discouraged with inaccurate information that was provided during meetings of the local community policing (CAPS). Our coverage area has since been expanded to cover Lincoln Park, River North, De Loop, Uptown and other North Side areas. But our mission remains unchanged: to provide original reporting of public safety with a better context and more detail than regular media. Our editorial e -mail address is news@cwbchicago.com
