Chicago a 15-year-old boy is accused of killing the 16-year-old girl who was found in a West Side Park last week, according to the Chicago police. Murder researchers arrested the boy on Sunday in the 4000 block of West Barry.

Because the boy is 15, his case remains in the juvenile court system, which is protected from the public.

Around 4.50 pm On Monday, March 17, a passer -by found the body of Kaylah Love near the playground in Horan Park, 3035 West van Buren. The office of the medical researcher of Cook County has established that Kaylah had been hit and stabbed in the head, said officials.

The woman who found Kaylah told the police that she called 911 on Sunday evening when she saw a man who hit a woman in the same place where Kaylah was discovered. She believed that Kaylah was the person she saw are attacked.

At least two CPD units responded to the park, but they didn’t see anyone fighting and the assignment was “coded”, which means that the incident did not have to be documented with a written report. CPD now carries out an internal assessment of the response of the department to the first 911 call.

The Kaylah family saw the Manley Career Academy Sophomore for the last Sunday when she told them she was going to McDonald’s. They reported her missing when she did not return home.

CWBCHICAGO was founded in 2013 by five residents of Wigleyville and Boystown who had been discouraged with inaccurate information that was provided during meetings of the local community policing (CAPS). Our coverage area has since been expanded to cover Lincoln Park, River North, De Loop, Uptown and other North Side areas. But our mission remains unchanged: to provide original reporting of public safety with a better context and more detail than regular media. Our editorial e -mail address is news@cwbchicago.com
