16-year-old boy injured after subway surfing at Queens underground station

A teenage boy narrowly escaped death Saturday night when he fell from a train while riding the subway at an underground Queens station, police said.

The 16-year-old tumbled from the top of a northbound F train at the Briarwood subway station and landed on the platform around 8:52 p.m., according to police.

Medics took him to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center where he was listed in stable condition with leg injuries.

“It wouldn’t be the first time,” a police source said about the Darf Teen subway underground.

The dangerous incident comes days after a 15-year-old boy suffered a head injury while surfing in the Bronx.

Last year, six people died trying to pull off the reckless stunt.
