2 men accused of slashing each other during fight in Grand Central Terminal: NYPD

Two men beat each other early Tuesday morning when a clash on the Grand Central subway platform turned violent, police said.

The men, ages 30 and 50, got into an argument minutes before 1 a.m. on northbound platforms 4, 5 and 6 at 42nd Street-Grand Central, authorities said.

They stabbed each other in the arm, with one treated at the scene by emergency responders and the other taken to Bellevue Hospital, where he was described as conscious and alert, police said.

The nature of the dispute was not immediately clear. It is also unclear whether the two men knew each other.
Both men were taken into custody but not immediately charged, sources said.

The older man has had several arrests, including arrests for theft and rape, according to the sources.

The younger man has no criminal history, the sources said.
