2025 BYD Stamp Price and Specifications

William Stopford

The BYD seal has become cheaper for 2025, but the mid-size electric sedan has at the same time gained more features.

Prices have been reduced by between $2808 and $3758 depending on the variant, while all variants now come with an electric sunshade for the panoramic glass roof.

They also feature BYD’s Digital Key functionality, allowing you to unlock the car with your smartphone.

The flagship Performance gets BYD’s DiSus-C adaptive damping system, while the Mid-range Premium now gets the Frequency Selective Damping dampers that were previously exclusive to the Performance.

AutoExpert understands that 2025 model year vehicles were due here in March, but industrial action at Australian ports could affect this timing.

Last year the Seal was BYD’s best-selling car in Australia, despite an ongoing market shift away from sedans.

BYD sold a total of 6,393 Seals, although the new plug-in hybrid Sealion 6 mid-size SUV – launched during the year – came very close to beating this with 6,198 sales.

The Seal was nevertheless the fourth best-selling EV in Australia, behind only the Tesla Model Y and rival Model 3, as well as the MG 4.
