The updated Ford F-1550 Picking up later comes to Australian showrooms than initially planned and the brand’s newest model is to suffer delays.

The F-150 Ford facelifted was unveiled in the US in September 2023, only a handful of months before the predetermined model started local deliveries.

At the time, Ford Australia said that examples of the updated model would arrive at the end of 2024 before the launch of the pick -up to the first quarter of 2025 was moved.

However, this week the car manufacturer announced that his arrival was pushed back, now until mid -2025.

It is the third most important Ford model that will be postponed for Australia in the past year.

The Ranger PHEV would initially arrive at the beginning of 2025, but since then it has been pushed back to mid -2025.

Similarly, the new generation of Mustang was unveiled abroad in September 2022 and would arrive in Australia from the end of 2023.

The local launch was then postponed until the first quarter of 2024 (January to March), then the second quarter (April to June) before it was moved to the second half of 2024, with the first deliveries in July 2024.

As mentioned earlier, the updated F-150 in Australia has been spotted in both Lariat and Platinum Guise-Alleen The first that is currently being offered, in addition to the less well-equipped XLT.

Ford Australia still has to describe what the facelifted line -up will look like.

Externally, the updated F-150 has a restyled grid, bumpers and lighting, including more three-dimensional tail light elements.

Newly available on the updated F-150 in the US is the Pro Access-Achterklep, essentially a Swing Gate that is integrated into the normal folding tailgate that can open up to 100 degrees.

The Pro Access-Achterklek of the F-150 avoids touching the tow bar when opening, and with this, owners can also get access to items in the bath. There is also an available back step to get up in the tub more easily.

A regular folding tailgate is still available.

Inside, the entire Ford F-150 range now comes with a 12-inch digital instrument cluster and a 12-inch touchscreen infotainment system as standard. The current F-150 range in Australia opens with an 8.0-inch instrument cluster screen and 8.0-inch touchscreen.

There is also an available head-up display in the updated model.

It is understood that, despite the fact that three core engines are available in the US F-150 range, Australian examples will be powered by a Twin-Turbo 3.5-liter V6-Benzine, which 298 kW power and 678 Nm torque produces.

It is also understood that RMA Automotive will continue to deal with the revision process from left to right, despite a rocky rollout for the F-150 in Australia.
