The Ford F-1550 Line -up will grow in Australia, with a new flagship equipment level that is launched as part of a facelift for the American pick -up.
The updated F-150 was revealed for the first time in September 2023, but now Carexper understands that it will only be released here until the Second half of 2025.
The renewed pick-up was previously confirmed for the local release at the end of 2024, before the timing changed in the first quarter of this year and then mid-2025.
Government documents seen by Carexper Show that the facelifted F-150 has been approved for Australian roads in the figures of the transfers and Lariaat, as well as a flatrowderis.

All equipment levels are offered in both a short and long-wheel base (SWB and LWB) configurations.
However, Ford Australia would not confirm whether the platinum will join the local line -up, however, Carexper Understands that it is here to switch on above the Lariat.
The Lariat currently has a catalog price of $ 140,945 before on-roads in LWB Guise, although it is now being offered for $ 133,000 Drive-Away.
That makes the pricier than GM Specialty Vehicles’ Flagship Chevrolet Silverado 1500, the ZR2 ($ 138,000 for on-road), but more affordable than both Ram Trucks Australia’s Facelifte Six-cylinder RAM 1500S, the Laramie Sport (from $ 151.950) Toyota Tunedra Limited (from $ 155.90).
The new F-150-Platina will probably be priced to compete with these full-size US pickups, instead of the Japanese namesake, the new Tundra Platinum ($ 172,990 Plus on-roads).

While the Lariat is the flagship F-150 in Australia, it is under the King Ranch and Platinum in the US, both of whom have the same basic price.
In addition to a unique grid and 20-inch wheel design, the platinum includes the Lariat-powerful walking boards, aluminum interior finish, heated rear seats, heated steering wheel, massage of front seats, adjustment/telescopic steering column set with memory and a row window power connection.
Options include a head-up display, 14 speakers B&O released sound system, adaptive suspension and a panoramic sunroof.
Some of these functions, such as the heated back seats and the rear window of the power, are already standard in the Australian-Market Lariat.
Since the local Lariat has already checked a number of options, Carexper Understands that the local platinum also contains some functions that are optional in the US.

The platinum can even be obtained with a Platinum Plus package of US $ 11,475 (~ a $ 18,000), which bring chrome and satin outside finish, 22-inch wheels, padded leather upholstery and a 3.5-liter Hybrid V6 driving line, although we do not expect that this exact configuration would appear locally.
Images in the approval documents show the Lariat and Platinum with the updated F-150’s new Pro Access-Achterklep, essentially a Swing Gate that is integrated into the regular folding tailgate that can open up to 100 degrees.
The Pro Access-Achterklek of the F-150 avoids touching the tow bar when opening, and with this, owners can also get access to items in the bath. There is also an available back step to make the tub easier in the tub.
The platinum has the same basic price in the US as the King Ranch, but throws the Chrome and Bronze Trim outdoor covering from that variant, while also losing a standard panoramic sunroof, wooden trim and head-up display.

As before, the only engine offered in Australia in the updated F-15-line-up is a double 3.5-liter gasoline V6 that produces 298 kW power and 678 Nm torque, coupled with a 10-speed automatic transmission and a part-time or full-time four-wheel drive.
The SWB F-150 mm long, 2089 mm wide and 1982 mm long on a 3697 mm wheelbase, while the LWB F-1550 has a 300 mm longer wheelbase.
Externally, the updated F-150 has a restyled grid, bumpers and lighting, including more three-dimensional tail light elements.

Inside, all F-150s have a 12-inch digital instrument cluster and 12-inch touchscreen infotainment system.
The current F-150 range in Australia opens with an 8.0-inch instrument cluster screen and 8.0-inch touchscreen.
It is understood that RMA Automotive will continue to deal with the revision process from left to right, despite a rocky rollout for the official F-150 in Australia, who saw several recall actions, delivery breaks and compensation to buyers.
There have not been returned this year, nor have there been stops.
