E-transit custom
With a focus on maximizing storage space by efficient battery packing under the floor, the Transit Custom PHEV and E-transit custom both offer the same dimensions of the interior load space as their turbo diesel counterparts.
VDA loading space is therefore 5.2 m³ in short-wheel base variants and 6.0 m³ in long-wheel basin versions. Maximum charge varies from 1111 kg to 1206 kg, depending on the sidewalk weights for individual variants, while all electrified models retain a 2.3-ton baked drag capacity.
Transit custom PHEV vehicles mate a 2.5-liter petrol engine, which produces 86 kW power and 209 Nm torque, with an electric motor of 111 kW/320 Nm. The total system capacities are quoted at 171 kW, with only power to the front wheels.
Ford claims combined fuel consumption of only 1.7 l/100 km, along with a driving range only 197 km based on the WLTP cycle, thanks to a liquid-cooled 11.8kWh battery.

E-transit, on the other hand, are used by a single, rear-mounted engine that produces 160 kW and 415 Nm, making them rear-wheel drive.
This is fed by a 64kWh battery and WLTP Electric Driving Range is quoted at 301 km or 307 km for LWB and SWB models respectively.
Ford has also mounted a heat pump for all e-transit Douane, while he has also recorded a driving mode of one pedal as can be seen on the fully electric Mustang Mach-E.
For context, Turbo-Diesel Transit-Douane use a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 125 kW and 390 Nm. These models are only front drive and have a claimed fuel consumption of 8.0l/100 km.

Inside, the standard seats of the Transit Custom’s standard three-fluctuated seats are retained, while all models have a 12-inch digital instrument cluster and a 13-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
E-transit Customs Gain Ford’s Secure Visibility Pack Standard, which offers a digital rear-view mirror via a camera that is mounted on the rear door of the loading and left the cargo space to improve security. This package is optional on diesel and PHEV variants.
Safety equipment For both the EV and PHEV transit Douane includes intelligent adaptive cruise control with Stop and Go, lane help with lane room warning, blind spot monitoring, trailer waving stabilization, side wind stabilization and a 180-degree rear-view camera.
A complete list of E-transit custom equipment will be released closer to the launch and we will describe PHEV variants in a separate price and specifications article.
