The MG S5 EV Comes quickly when a replacement for the ZS EV, and government documents show that a wide range of variants can be offered.

The approval documents show the single engine, rear -wheel drive S5 EV, which, unlike its predecessor, runs a special electric vehicle (EV) platform, is offered with a series of batteries.
There are 49 kWh and 62kWh lithium -iron phosphate (LFP) batteries, which are linked to a 125 kW electric motor.
A 64kWh Nickel Manganese Cobalt (NCM) battery is also available, coupled with a 170 kW electric motor.
According to the documents, every battery option is available with a choice of two different equipment levels, and there is a choice of 17 or 18-inch wheels.
It is worth noting that documents from the government goods inspection can state variants that are not offered.
Although WLTP range figures are not yet available, the 49kWh battery offers a claimed reach of 425 km on the more mild CLTC cycle in China.
The 62kWh battery offers a claimed range of 515 km or 525 km, depending on the variant.
All models have vehicle-to-load (V2L) options, so that you can feed external devices.
The S5 EV measures 4476 mm long, 1849 mm wide and 1621 mm-1626 mm long on a wheelbase of 2730 mm. That makes it 21 mm longer than a BYD Atto 3 on a 10 mm longer wheelbase.
According to local documents, the Tare mass is between 1635 kg and 1725 kg, depending on the variant.
In China, the S5 EV-Daar can be obtained as the ES5 with functions such as a Power-Achterklep, a panoramic sunroof with a sunscreen, as well as heated, ventilated and power capacity fronts.
All models are supplied as standard with a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster and 15.6-inch touchscreen infotainment system.
Available safety equipment includes adaptive cruise control, autonomous emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, lane assistance, cross security warning at the back and a safe exit warning.
The S5 EV arrives after the new generation ZS was launched at the end of last year, with a hybrid powertrain that replaces the previously available electric powertrain and therefore gives the new S5 EV a breathing space.
MG had the third best -selling EV of Australia with the MG 4 Hatchback, with 6934 examples.
The S5 EV will not only focus on the BYD Atto 3, which was the fifth best -selling EV of Australia last year, but also the will of the Hyundai Kona Electric and Chery Omoda E5.
