Peugeot Australia has confirmed prices and specs for the new one 2008 ‘Hybrid’ SUV, ahead of deliveries starting during the first quarter of 2025.
It will replace the 2008 non-electrified series for model year 2025 (MY25), with prices to start from $42,490 plus on-road costs – which amounts to a $2,500 increase on the entrance fee, although that will be offset by additional equipment.
The highlight of the Peugeot 2008 Hybrid range for 2025 is the addition of a 1.2-litre turbocharged three-cylinder engine and a 48V mild-hybrid system that delivers more power and improved efficiency.
The eight-speed automatic transmission of the petrol models will also be replaced by a six-speed dual-clutch gearbox.
The French brand records an 18.5 percent improvement in combined fuel consumption and an 18.5 percent reduction in emissions, at 4.4 l/100 km and 99 g/km respectively.

Although Peugeot doesn’t have detailed maintenance details for the new 2008 hybrid, the outgoing 2008 petrol required maintenance every 12 months or 15,000 kilometers and a five-year service plan cost $2500.
