Skoda appears to have accidentally given a ‘Peaq’ to its new all-electric flagship SUV in its own teaser material – or perhaps this was a ‘Simply Clever’ stunt.
The 2027 Skoda Peaq is an all-new all-electric SUV that will join the existing petrol and plug-in hybrid Kodiaq and will be unveiled on June 23, 2026, ahead of a global market launch next year.
In a teaser video detailing the new model’s range of aerodynamic features to achieve the mentioned drag coefficient of 0.249, the 3D animation depicting airflow appears to show an uncamouflaged schematic of the new SUV.

Despite the scoop, the actual design isn’t that big of a surprise. The Skoda Peaq appears to be a bigger interpretation of the recently unveiled Epiq design.
Claw-shaped head and taillight elements reflect the Czech brand’s new Modern Solid design language, which has been slowly rolled out across the Skoda range and previewed by the 2022 Vision 7S concept, which also forms the basis of the Peaq design.
In the latest official teaser version, Skoda details the Peaq’s various aerodynamic features to achieve the aforementioned coefficient figure, including functional front air curtains, an integrated wheel arch spoiler, under-body air deflector, an active roller blind between the coolers and aerodynamic hubcaps.
Skoda claims its new Modern Solid design language also contributes to a more aerodynamic vehicle, with aspects such as smoother body sides, minimal transitions between the side windows and pillars, and recessed door handles, all making the Peaq smoother through the air.
Moving on, Skoda’s designers and engineers have worked to minimize drag with a three-dimensional design. Combined with the side ‘finlets’, the trailing edges around the taillights and bumper, and the aero spoiler in the rear diffuser, they all help to control the vehicle’s wake.
Aside from the coincidental reveal of the Peaq’s exterior design in the video schematics, Skoda previewed the new electric SUV with a physically camouflaged prototype at the media release, which showed off much less of the new hero model’s design.
Skoda is expected to unveil the Peaq later this year, following the recent unveiling of the smaller Epiq electric SUV, which was already planned for an Australian launch sometime in 2027. We expect the Peaq to follow Down Under not long after.
The Skoda Peaq will build on the MEB’s specific electric vehicle (EV) architecture and will take the form of an approximately 5.0 meter long, seven-seater, fully electric SUV based on the Vision 7S concept.
According to the Czech brand, the name of the Peaq reflects the status of the model in the Skoda range. Derived from the English word ‘peak’, it symbolizes the top of the range while continuing Skoda’s tradition of SUV names ending in the letter ‘Q’.
