What would you do if you found a few billion dollars that burned a hole in your pocket? Superyachts, hypercars, private jets, all the above? Well, how about cutting a mountain in two and building one of the world’s most exclusive race tracks. That is what Cornes & Co did here in Japan, and with that we were left at the Magrouwawa Club.
The Magrouwawa club is not hot from the press news, it is actually open for a little more than 18 months now, but because the doors have been opened, I still had to get the chance to visit and see what the hassle was about.

That was until Renncurator invited me for a few days of the car’s paradise. The main reason for my trip to Magdigawa was to cover his newly supplied Prodrive P25, I treated that experience here. But apart from Prodrive, there was much more going on the circuit that deserves its own appearance.
For the unknown club Nestled in the hills of Chiba, just over an hour from Central Tokyo. The club consists of all kinds of amenities, including a bar, cigar lounge, Infinity Edge Pool, Restaurant, Sim Room, Spa, Gym and 10 Villas to house the lucky way to stay. All these facilities are some of the most beautiful rooms that you ever step into, with the experience easily comparable to a 7 -star hotel. I actually shot these pans from the bedroom bar of the most important villas of the club …

But there is one strong difference between the Magalgawa club and a 7 -star hotel, and that is the 3.5 km of world class, Hermann Tilke designed the track around it.
Just when entering the site, you have a 7 -minute drive from the Voorpoort to the clubhouse. The pure technical performance of building a circuit in the mountain is clear with retaining walls longer than apartment buildings and height changes to make your ears pop.

But enough about the location, and more about some of the cars that Renncurator and his friends had released the week. Starting with Renncurators very own Porsche 911 GT2 RS Clubsport 25.

Mark has actually written a completely written down on the Nitty Gruizige of the CS25, so I will not walk on the details, but I can confirm that this Manthey -Beast is all the hype that it gets.
In combination with a location like Magallawa, it is almost impossible to take a bad photo of the CS25, and the performance on the track was there to match the good appearance.

The CS25 was almost always the fastest car on the right track every day in Magalgawa, and although I cannot reveal what the lap -time competition was, I can say that there were some very worthy opponents.

In addition to Renncurator’s CS25 and previously covered over P25, his HKS GR86 was present. This is actually the exact car that we have all seen, making a debut in the car salon of Tokyo 2024, HKS ‘first iteration of their entire package street and circuitbuilds. Since the first debut of this car I have also had the chance to cover HKS ‘second complete GR86 and the Tsukuba circuit Shakedown.

The Friends of Renncurator did not come empty -handed and picked up some JDMs to the typical Super and Hypercar -Exclusive pits, such as a GRMN Yaris, Tom’s GR86 and NA2 NSX Type S.

But there was another NSX who already had my attention.

As far as NSX’s Go, this should be one of the best I have encountered in Japan. Based on a NA1 type R, the car had undergone a NA2 conversion for the front and had set a complete ITB setup.

In the car the example followed with all the instrumentation that is reminiscent of the NSX tuning of the Peak in the mid -2000. However, this car deserves its own deep dive, so I will save the details for its own function.

The Magrouwawa club is one of the most breathtaking places I have ever been to my life, wrapped between a world -class circuit and driven by some of the world’s best cars, makes this an experience that a car holder has to add to their bucket list, directly below $ 200,000+ membership costs …
