Police say three people were shot and another stabbed during a wild family fight at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport on Christmas Day.

Violence broke out at a pre-security restaurant in Terminal Four around 9:45 p.m. when someone pulled a gun and opened fire during a struggle. according to ABC15.

Three people were found with gunshot wounds, including a woman fighting for her life.

Police then arrested a man with at least one stab wound and an unharmed girl in the airport parking garage. CNN reports this.

“I believe this was a family dispute that escalated,” said Sgt. Mayra Reeson told reporters early Thursday.

Four people were rushed to hospital, including the woman who was shot and was in critical condition.

Two men who were also shot and the man who was stabbed are all stable, police said.

None of those involved have been identified.

The shooting forced the temporary closure of the terminal’s security checkpoint and restaurants, airport officials and police told CNN.

No flights have been affected and the investigation is ongoing.
