Chicago – Three people are admitted to the hospital and a fourth is in custody after a fight between two groups of people ended with several stabbing on Sunday morning, according to the Chicago police.

The groups received an argument that in a physical fight in the 5700-block of West Grand around 5:09 am CPD said that a 40-year-old man who was involved in the fight pulled a knife and made it.

He successfully stabbed or cut three people, all of whom were in good condition, the police said:

  • A 20-year-old woman was taken to the first hospital in the community with a flat wound on her arm
  • A 30-year-old woman was brought to the West Suburban Hospital, also with a flat wound on her arm
  • A 32-year-old man was cut on both hands and brought to the Loyola hospital.

CPD officers apply a tourniquet to one of the victims and also arrested a suspect on the spot. The costs were processed on Sunday afternoon.

CWBCHICAGO was founded in 2013 by five residents of Wigleyville and Boystown who had been discouraged with inaccurate information that was provided during meetings of the local community policing (CAPS). Our coverage area has since been expanded to cover Lincoln Park, River North, De Loop, Uptown and other North Side areas. But our mission remains unchanged: to provide original reporting of public safety with a better context and more detail than regular media. Our editorial e -mail address is news@cwbchicago.com
