Chicago 30-year-old man from Chicago has been sentenced to nine years in prison for possession of child pornography after his conditional agent caught him with a sexual video call with a 14-year-old girl, according to judicial records.

In 2022, Julio Rodriguez was confronted with a 20-number child pornography charge, but guilty of a single count on August 16, 2024, who was sentenced to a three-year prison from judge Michael Clancy. With a sentence reduction of 50% and credit before a single monitor, Rodriguez did not have a prison time, in which he entered and left the Correctional Center of Stateville on 20 August 2024.

Less than three months later, on December 5, a conditional agent Rodriguez’s Halfway House visited in the 8100 block of South Cottage Grove after he had not reported his housing schemes if necessary. The agent found Rodriguez with his pants down and performed a sexual act while he was on a video call with a young girl, claimed prosecutors. Rodriguez dropped his phone and revealed the girl’s screen name to the agent before she ended the call.

Rodriguez initially claimed that the girl was his ‘girlfriend’, but later admitted that she was 14, the prosecutors said. Researchers discovered more than 100 illegal images and 40 videos of children on a telephone that he did not register with the authorities and violated his conditional conditions. A second registered telephone on the windowsill contained two illegal images, claimed public prosecutors. Rodriguez also did not have reported social media accounts on YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, Discord and Reddit.

In an interview with a police detective in Chicago, Rodriguez reportedly admitted sexual conversations with girls from 14 to 16 years in Discord and another website in the days before, including explicit comments and requests to the 14-year-old prosecutors who claimed. Researchers confirmed these interactions through restored disagreement chats.

Judge Michael MCHale imposed the nine -year prison sentence, with Rodriguez expected to be released on 5 June 2029, after half of the term, according to the state registers.
