When will Mufasa: The Lion King be released on VOD?
For now, Walt Disney Studios has not yet revealed when the film will be released digitally. However, Disney films usually become available for streaming 67 days after they open in theaters – that was the case with recent hits like Deadpool & Wolverine and Inside Out 2.
So there is a good chance that Mufasa: The Lion King will appear on VOD in the US Tuesday February 25, 2025. However, keep in mind that this date is only an estimate and Disney has yet to confirm it. It’s also possible that British viewers will have to wait a little longer for the film, as was previously the case.
When will Mufasa: The Lion King be released on DVD/Blu-ray?
When it comes to the release of physical copies of Disney films, there is also a pattern: they usually appear three weeks after the film debuts on VOD.
It is therefore very likely that Mufasa will be released on DVD and Blu-ray in the US Tuesday March 18, 2025. We will update this article when Disney officially confirms this date.
When will Mufasa: The Lion King be released on streaming services?
As a Disney film, Mufasa will eventually end up on Mickey Mouse’s streaming service. For now, the exact date remains unknown. This will undoubtedly happen shortly after the release of physical copies of the film – Deadpool & Wolverine and Inside Out 2 arrived on DVD and Blu-ray on Disney+ three weeks after release.
If Mufasa: The Lion King follows the same pattern, it may be available for streaming early April 2025.
