Jack Reacher has become a real star on Amazon’s streaming platform. After the release of the second season, the series about the retired military police officer became the most watched title on Prime Video.
Considering the popularity of the series and the number of books Lee Child has written, we can be sure that the ex-military man will be with us for a long time.
The third season is already looming on the horizon and we are gathering all the information about the plot, cast and premiere date.
When is Reacher season 3 coming out?
The third part of Reacher will be released on Prime Video Thursday February 20, 2025 with a three-episode premiere. The next five episodes will appear weekly on the service.
Reacher is undoubtedly one of Amazon’s flagship series. It’s no wonder it was renewed for Season 3 in December 2023 – even before Season 2 came to an end. Alan Ritchson posted a teaser image from the set, which shows that Jack really does get “stuck” this season.
What is Reacher season 3 about?
Season 1 was based on Lee Child’s debut novel, Killing Floor. It was the first of 28 books currently available in the Jack Reacher series. However, Amazon decided that the show’s second season would cover the events of Part 11, titled Bad Luck and Trouble, instead of Part 2. Skipping ten books ahead is an unusual decision, but presumably there was never a plan to make every book to make a book. season in itself.
According to Amazon, the third season of Reacher will be based on Persuader, the 7th book in the series by Lee Child.
The story begins with an attempted kidnapping, which Jack witnesses. He intervenes and, as usual, becomes embroiled in a complicated criminal affair.
In Boston, Reacher meets a man he long thought was dead. Francis Xavier Quinn was once a military intelligence officer, but after he tried to sell American strategic plans to Iraq he was declared a traitor.
Despite several gunshots, he managed to recover and became involved in another shady activity. Reacher decides to settle old scores with Quinn.
Here’s the logline for the latest installment of the show:
In the third season of the action-packed series, Reacher (Alan Ritchson) bursts into the dark heart of a massive criminal enterprise as he attempts to rescue an undercover DEA informant whose time is running out. There he finds a world of secrecy and violence – and is confronted with some unfinished business from his own past.
In an interview with ComicBook.com, Alan Ritchson revealed that the new episodes will see Reacher in a completely new place and under new circumstances:
And we can enjoy Reacher in a new world. It might not have anything to do with family, with his past, he’s just having that adventure and that’s kind of the direction we’ve gone in and it really seems to be working.
Is there a trailer for Reacher season 3?
Yes, that’s true. It teases a new, tough opponent that will cause Reacher a lot of problems.
Which cast members have been confirmed for Reacher season 3?
