Chicago-A motorist killed a 66-year-old woman on Friday morning when she ran near her house in the Ukrainian village, according to the Chicago police. Now CPD needs help finding the driver and the SUV involved.

Halyan Hudzan walked to the south on a pedestrian crossing when the driver of a Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross from 2022 hit her around 8.48 am on Chicago Avenue and Oakley, officials said.

According to a police report assessed by CWBCHICAGO, four witnesses with the CPD spoke about the crash. They told the police that the SUV stopped at a red light and made a bend to the right, hit Hudzan. According to the report, the SUV stopped and then drove further about the woman, after which he drove to the east, Chicago Avenue. CPD said that the car may have been turned to the north on Damen Avenue.

Researchers also announced that the license plate of the vehicle is DH30095. Police data shows that the car was given up as stolen in Old Town on 24 November, but it is unclear whether the owner who lives in Blok 2300 from West Grand has been given him since then.

The Severe Accidents Investigation Unit deals with the case. They can be reached on 312-745-4521 with regard to case #JJ125483.
