Attacker puts 2 men on the train platform in the city center

Chicago – two men recover after an attacker had stabbed them during an argument on a CTA platform in the loop, said Chicago police. It happened around 10:33 am Thursday at the Clark-Lake Station in the 100 block of West Lake.

CPD said that the two victims were in an “verbal argument” with a man who brought out a sharp object and stabbed them. One victim, a man of about 30 years old, suffered a breast injury, while the other victim, 51, was cut on the face, according to a statement from CPD media.

Both victims were in a serious state in the Northwestern Memorial Hospital.

The attacker, last seen on his way to Clark Street, was a shorter Spanish man who wore a black swollen jacket, gray jacket and black shoes with a large golden necklace on his neck, according to an officer on the spot.

CWBCHICAGO was founded in 2013 by five residents of Wigleyville and Boystown who had been discouraged with inaccurate information provided during meetings of the local community policing (CAPS). Our coverage area has since been expanded to cover Lincoln Park, River North, De Loop, Uptown and other North Side areas. But our mission remains unchanged: to provide original reporting of public safety with a better context and more detail than regular media. Our editorial e -mail address is news@cwbchicago.com
