Apple continues to push the boundaries of its operating systems, and expectations rise with iOS 19 on the horizon.
While official details remain under wraps until it reveals, there are a lot of speculation and a few leaks point to what is to come.
Below we explore the expected release date, compatible devices and the exciting functions that IOS 19 can define.
When is iOS 19 released?
Apple is set to an example of iOS 19 at its annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) in June 2025.
After the announcement, developers will get early access to test the software, with a public beta that is expected to be rolled out later in the summer.

However, Apple seems to use a more spread approach to contain rolls.
Just like iOS 18, where functions such as Apple Intelligence were gradually introduced, not all iOS 19 options are expected to be available at the launch.
Some of the most expected updates, such as the improved Siri that are driven by large language models (LLMS), will probably debut at the beginning of 2026, possibly in iOS 19.4.
Mark Gurman suggests that other platforms such as macOS or iPados may be prioritized for major updates, especially given the basis that is needed for innovations, including a touch -based Mac.

The dedication of Apple to support older devices remains strong, although some models inevitably fall off the list with every itteration of iOS.

Smarter Siri with large language models (LLM)
According to Mark Gurman van Bloomberg, one of the most exciting updates in iOS 19 is the introduction of an improved Siri powered by LLM technology.

A shift in software costs
IOS 19 can influence an important shift in the approach from Apple to software development.

This strategy is intended to guarantee a more polished and refined experience for users, although this can result in fewer immediate functions during the launch. It can also lead to delays, according to one of Gurman’s messages on X.

A recent leak of the YouTube channel from FPT. Has revealed considerable changes that are expected for the iOS 19 -camera -app, which indicates a wider shift in the design of the operating system.
The new camera app is reportedly set to a cleaner, more streamlined interface with fewer distractions around the viewfinder.
In particular, it can also contain options such as resolution and frame speed rules directly within the app, a function that is long in Android devices.
Although the actual redesign was not shown for the sources of FPT. The video contained a representation of the expected changes.
These include condensation settings and modes, liquid animations and a sweeping mechanism for navigation, making the interface more user-oriented. The design is in line with aspects of visionos, and indicates a possible system -wide aesthetic transformation in iOS 19.
This would be the first major redesign since iOS 7, possibly starting with incremental updates for Kern apps before they further expand.
Other improvements
