Chicago-de Police is working on identifying a one-man crime golf responsible for hiring at least 27 companies in the northern and northwestern sides of Chicago in the past three weeks.

The serial burglar breaks the front windows and doors to get into the companies, so that he can steal money from the cash register, according to a new CPD alert.

Area five detectives have connected the man to the following burglaries:

January 16

  • 5000 block from West Irving Park at 3:26 am

January 17

  • 2500 block of North Lincoln Ave at 4:10 am
  • 2600 Block Van North Lincoln Ave at 4:14 am
  • 2400 Block Van North Lincoln at 5:40 am
  • 2800 Blok van North Sheffield between 20.00 and 06:33 the next day

January 18

  • 2900 block of North Broadway between 5:30 am and 6 am

January 21

  • 4300 block from North Elston for 7 hours
  • 4000 block from North Elston at 4:34 am
  • 3600 block of West Irving Park at 4:57 am

January 22

  • 2000 Block Van West Howard at 5:14 am

January 27

  • 5400 block from North Broadway between 4 am and 5 am
  • 1000 block from West Argyle at 5:07 am
  • 5000 block from North Sheridan at 5:20 am
  • 1100 Blok van West Argyle at 5:21 am

January 28

  • 1100 block of West Granville at 11.30 p.m.
  • 5300 block from North Clark at 6:36 am (two incidents)

February 2

  • 1500 block of West Devon Ave at 6.15 am
  • 6600 Block Van North Broadway at 6:18 am

February 3

  • 7000 block of West Higgins at 2:57 am
  • 6300 Block Van West Higgins at 4 am

February 4

  • 4200 block from West Irving Park at 3:43 am
  • 5100 Block from West Irving Park at 4:59 am
  • 5100 block from West Irving Park between 5:00 AM and 5:30 AM

The police described the suspect as a man of non -specific race with a black hat, black gloves, a black mask, dark clothing and a black backpack. CPD too brought a short video of the suspect.
