Chicago – A man on a pretrial release because he reportedly drove a fresh carjacked vehicle, a woman carjacked and tried to rob two other victims before bystanders got in and held him until the Chicago police arrived, officials say.
Judge David Kelly ordered the 19-year-old Trevon Reed to hold on to new accusations of Kaacking of vehicles and attempted theft. He also held rode before breaking pretrial release conditions in the hanging car theft.
Last Wednesday afternoon the police responded to calls from a person with a gun and they found witnesses who held Riets outside of Sharks Fish & Chicken, 5048 South Cottage Grove, according to a CPD report.
A 31-year-old woman identified drove as the man who waved a gun, chased her and tried to take her car keys in the 700 block of East 50th Street, civil servants claimed.
Allegedly, a 34-year-old woman tried to rob and carjack by implying that he also had a gun in the 5000 block of South Evans. Prosecutors said he also tried to rob a third victim during the Spree.
According to the court reports, it was arrested on May 5 after the Chicago police saw him a hijacked Ford fusion on the Stevenson highway. The police arrested him after he was reportedly screwed off the car while he was wearing blue latex gloves.
Prosecutors said that Reed recently completed the probationary period for a robbery that he committed as a juvenile.
