Oppo is preparing to make its most ambitious folding telephone so far, with the international launch of the Find N5 planned for 20 February. However, I already have one in my hands.
It means that we can gain early insight into the newest Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Pixel 9 Pro Fold Rival of the company, and speculate about how this latest entry in the Find N series of the company will influence the bright -awaited OnePlus Open 2.
As you can see in the trailer above, Oppo is not exactly shy about the existence of the Find N5 and the willingness of the company to sow units for media and to tease important details about the device, show that they have faith In his ability to impress.
I call this partly because, from now on, while I have the Find N5 in hand, I cannot reveal any of his specifications or other facts that go beyond everything that the company has already called publicly, until it is launched on 20 February.
The head function is the stray profile and only clocks slightly thicker than the USB-C port (which itself measures 2.6 mm) set in its base. Although not confirmed, it seems to be there to take the crown of the Honor Magic V3 as the world’s thinnest ‘book style’ folding-a clarification that helps the N5 to distinguish from the even slimmer (3.6 mm when when Fully opened) Tri-folding Huawei Mate XT that I spent time with last September, and that is planned for an international launch on 18 February.
Despite the Wafer-Dunne profile, the Find N5 is a pleasantly sturdy folding in hand, a characteristic that Oppos Billy Zhang has supported by saying that it is the strongest of the company so far (his image of the social media header Also shows the N5 as thinner than a standard graphite pencil).

In the meantime, Oppo CPO and OnePlus co-founder Pete Lau have confirmed that the Find N5 Packs IPX6, IPX8 and IPX9 certification against various methods for the penetration of water.
Lau’s clear investment in the Find N5 is also good for the next folding telephone of his company – the rumors OnePlus Open 2. Assuming OnePlus uses the same approach as with its debutable – the original OnePlus Open (which shared most of its design , Hardware and software with the Oppo Find N3 that was launched around the same time) – The Find N5 is a promising looking donor device.

Even with its remarkable waist, the Find N5 retains a three-phase physical warning slide, which means that the OnePlus Open 2 is almost confirmed to do the same. The placement of the volume rocker is high on the right, while it is assumed that the open 2 will also share in the Hasselblad-matched triple camera system of the N5, which has a periscopic telephone sensor.
Separately, Lau has marked the reduced fold on the head folding display of the phone, which I also broken against the light in the slide show above, so that you can get an idea of how visible it is. The monster that I have photographed is the cosmic black color, while the foggy white model, with a polished silver frame and a pattern can be seen in the official teaser video at the top of the story.
We also know that the Find N5 is set to run the newest Coloros 15 user experience of the company, which is being carried out on top of Android 15, just like debuted on the recent Find X8 series flagship Candybar Phone Line. With the same comparisons with the OnePlus 13, the Open 2 also arrives at Oxygenos 15 of the company.
Speaking of international releases, while the launch of the Find N5 is drawn up as a global release, Oppo’s phones are not immediately available in large markets such as the US, although OnePlus is.

So, even if the Find N5 is not available where you are located, it is possible that the extremely comparable open 2 will be.
However, it is still to be seen how many of both devices will cost, and whether they can really match the best folding things.
