Nar, Phoenix Realtors regulate the dispute over a three -way agreement

The deal eliminates the MLS -Keus Membership option of PAR, as a result of which agents could become members without becoming a member of the Arizona Association of Realtors or dar while they also have access to the Arizona Regional MLS (Armls).

Instead, “non-member MLS Access” in which PARLs will continue to offer access to non-Realtoren, as has been the case since 1996, and also to offer non-specific “products and services”.

“This issue was never about MLS access and the NAR policy about this has not changed,” said Nar in a statement. “Armls has been and has long been open to non-Raltors. MLSs have a local discretion to determine individual participation requirements based on their market and applicable legislation.

“We are pleased to have reached this resolution, which protects the rigorous standards of the Realtor brand. We look forward to working with Phoenix Realtors in the service of Realtors and our shared mission. “

Agents who take the non-member MLS Access option may not use the name of the broker and are not members of local, national or national brokerage associations. They receive no benefits with regard to these memberships.

The core of the dispute is the requirement of NAR that brokers are members of their local, national and national brokerage associations, better known as the ‘three -way agreement’. Nar has lately gone more fire because of the rule, of which critics say it is competitive here.

In August 2024, a collection of real estate brokers in Michigan real estate brought an antitrust right against NAR on the rule, and brokers in other states did the same. Defendants in the cases – Realtors – Associations and MLSS – have submitted motions to dismiss.

At the end of last year, Par announced that it would allow non-Realtors to have access to Armls from 2025. In response, Nar sent a cease-and-desists letter. Par balanced and dun initiated the process of withdrawing PAR’s charter.

“Phoenix Realtors continues to work for the Realtors brand, the three -way agreement and the benefits made by the relationship between the Phoenix Association, Arizona Association of Realtors and Nar,” Par said in a statement. “This outcome supports both Phoenix Realtors and the ultimate goal of Nar to help members of Realtors a success and the real estate sector generally thrive.”

The announcement will probably not end the debate on the three -way agreement. The Austin Board of Realtors (Abor) has taken a similar step and recently announced that the non-Ralt tower has access Unlock MLS Starting on June 1.
