Three investigators area on Thursday afternoon CTA surveillance photos of the foursome released everyone with information about them to call in or to submit an anonymous tip.

CPD said that the four “were involved in discharging a firearm” near Illinois and McClurg around 8:12 PM Sunday. One of the bullets flew through the street and hit a 46-year-old woman who ran her 11-year-old son near Columbus Drive. She and her son ran the bridge for safety and sought help. Officials said a bullet hit her in her arm.

The shooting took place during a fight between a group of people who were involved in a relatively small ‘teen trend’. Ald. Brian Hopkins (2nd), who has called for an evening clock of 20.00 for young people after previous ‘trends’, renews his efforts to get that done. Mayor Brandon Johnson has already spoken out against the idea.

CWBCHICAGO was founded in 2013 by five residents of Wigleyville and Boystown who had been discouraged with inaccurate information that was provided during meetings of the local community policing (CAPS). Our coverage area has since been expanded to cover Lincoln Park, River North, De Loop, Uptown and other North Side areas. But our mission remains unchanged: to provide original reporting of public safety with a better context and more detail than regular media. Our editorial e -mail address is news@cwbchicago.com
