Apple has reportedly considered building the iPhone 17 air without gates

After reporting in January that Apple adds a “air” option to its iPhone -Line -Up, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman is Offer more details About the upcoming slimmer iPhone.

The iPhone 17 Air will launch this fall, says Gurman and just like the MacBook Air, it will be thinner than standard models, while combining high-end and low-end functions. It apparently cost a “Herculean effort” for Apple ingieurs to make a leaner phone with thinner batteries without sacrificing the battery life.

Gurman also reports that Apple considered this to make this the first ‘full gate -free iPhone’, where all charging is done wirelessly and all data that is synchronized via the cloud.

However, Apple decided not to go this route, at least for the time being, partly because of concern about how European regulators have imposed that smartphone makers can respond USB-C connectors support-yours.
