The police found the car of a woman on fire at night in the old town, only a few minutes after she was carjacked at the Chicago History Museum.

The 36-year-old told the police that the carjacking took place around 2:41 am when she was in her white Honda SUV in the 1600 block of North Lasalle. She said a man showed a gun, forced her out of the car and went to the south.

About ten minutes later, 911 callers raised a vehicle on fire in the 1700 block of North Vine-accident three-quarters of a mile west of LaSalle Street. It turned out to be the woman’s vehicle.

No injuries were reported.

The suspect was described as a black man who wore a blue hoodie and black pants.
