Galaxy S25 Edge: In Summary
- The S25 Edge is the coming fourth model in Samsung’s flagship telephone range, with its unique sales argument its thin and light design
- After some delays, it is expected to receive an official launch on 13 May and we expect it to be for sale soon afterwards
- The most important specifications are a 200MP main camera, a large OLED screen, but a small battery because of the design
Although the majority of the Galaxy S25 series of phones has been for sale for months, it will be waiting for the S25 Edge model.
This brand new addition to the line-up was plagued next to his brothers and sisters, but Samsung has since been very quiet about his new baby.
The most important idea here is that it offers a very slim design anyway, for modern smartphone standards, and probably one of the first is in a new trend of slim phones.
It seems that they will usually be called ‘air’, such as the rumors iPhone 17 Air, but Samsung is currently going with Edge, which is the first time it has used this name since the Galaxy S7 Edge in 2016. At the time it meant the screen had bent sides.
It may not be long to wait for the official S25 Edge launch announcement, but here is everything we know so far, including rumors and experts on the release date, price and specifications.
When will the Galaxy S25 lead be released?
Summary
- Rumors to officially launch on 13 May, after delays
- For sale at the end of May
- Tipped to miss the availability of the American carrier
The Galaxy S25 Edge is an unusual phone. Although it was announced next to the other Galaxy S25 models back during the unpacked event of Samsung in January, we have since been waiting for it.
At the time, Samsung only teased the device and said little about it – perhaps in an attempt to create some mystery and hype. The similar thing happened with the Galaxy Ring.
The phone has been shown in the Dummy type form on events such as MWC 2025 and it was generally agreed that it would be launched in April.
However, delays meant that it was pushed back to May or June, but we now almost certainly know that it will get the right launch on 13 May, thanks to two reliable sources.
Whether this is in the form of an online unpacked event or just a blog post is unclear, but we think Samsung wants to make this new model a lot, so a kind of event would be more logical.
It is thought that the phone will be for sale worldwide at the end of May.
A big question is whether the S25 Edge gets an American release, with particular evleaks that states that it will “almost certainly not be offered by American carriers”.

How much does the Galaxy S25 Edge cost?
Summary
- Samsung slipped that it costs $ 1,678 in Canada
- Rumor that they are between the S25+ and S25 Ultra with a starting price of approximately £ 1,200/$ 1,200
While we are waiting for the full official prices for the S25 lead in the UK and the US, Samsung accidentally gave away how much it will cost in Canada on its own website.
Here it revealed (now removed) that the CAD costs $ 1,678 (about £ 900/$ 1,200) for the capacity of 256 GB, while the 512 GB CAD $ 1,858 becomes (approximately £ 1,010/$ 1,350).
Those British and American prices are through currency version, so maybe not accurate. In fact, it will probably be more expensive than those figures, with Evan Blass (Evleaks) suggesting that it will be “between the S25 Plus and Ultra”.
They cost £ 999/$ 999.99 and £ 1,249/$ 1,299.99 to give you the ball park. This corresponds to other reports of reliable sources, which say that it will be between € 1,200 and € 1,300 for the 256 GB model in Europe.

What are the Galaxy S25 Edge specifications?
Summary
- The S25 Edge Design height is the thin profile, which is said to be only 5.8 mm thick, with materials including titanium and three colors
- Must have a 200 MP reversing camera, is supplemented with a 12MP Ultrawide camera
- The screen is flat, unlike old ‘edge’ devices of Samsung, and about 6.7-inch with an OLED panel and 120Hz refresh speed
- The thin design means that the battery is smaller than most telephones on a rumor 3900 mAh and with slower charging than the S25 Ultra
Design and Build
Although the phone has a number of interesting specifications, the design is the most important thing about the S25 lead and the most important reason to buy it.
If you longed for a thinner Galaxy flagship ship, then your dream has come true, because the S25 edge is said to be as thin as 5.84 mm, although 6.4 mm has also been a tipped figure.
For comparison, the S25 is 7.2 mm and the S25 Ultra is 8.2 mm and IP68 must also be dust and water resistant.

The Sinza
Anyway, it is not much thicker than a USB-C port that has the phone, although in a crazy placement, so Samsung has not yet become parlor. Of course it is also lightweight with allegedly only 163g, when so many telephones are close to or more than 200 g.
It is generally agreed that the S25 edge will have a titanium frame, together with a ceramic back and front made of Corning Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2 in both cases.
There will be three colors to choose from: titanium icy blue, titanium silver and titanium jet black.
Two accessories have already surfaced: a silicone case and a kind of case. The latter is expected to have an inner lining, just like earlier versions.
In an interview with TechRadar, Samsung’s mobile experience VP of Product and Marketing in the UK, Annika Bizon, explained that the stunning form factor of the phone would not be at the expense of sustainability:
‘I can’t say too much, but what I will say is that [the Edge] Is about a nice form factor. And there are two points that I want to make. One is that it is absolutely amazing. And when you think of the technology that goes in that size of the space, it is pretty impressive. The second as I will say, concerns sustainability. With everything that is slim, sustainability must come as part of the package. These are the two functions that are exciting for us. Well, I know that sustainability is not exciting – but it is really important. So pay attention to this space, because there are a number of exciting things that have to do with regard to this phone. “

Battery and charging
The thin design of the S25 edge, as you could imagine, has the size of the battery that will be rumor that it is 3900 mAh.
That is small compared to almost every modern smartphone, although it is only 100 mAh of the regular Galaxy S25. It would be nice to have seen Samsung that the modern SIC battery (Silicon Carbon) battery technology is used to fit a larger battery in the same room (such as the OnePlus 13), but it does not seem to be the case.
We expect that we have to wait for the Galaxy S26 series for this upgrade.
Another disadvantage here is that the S25 lead is supposed to have wired 25W and may not be wireless at all. That is slower than the 45W chargers of the S25 Ultra, but corresponds to the regular model.
It is a disturbing combination of things and it is difficult to recommend the phone, especially with the expected price.

Screen
The rubble on the S25 edge is nothing too exciting. As mentioned, this no longer means that the phone has bent edges, even though it is the earlier use of Samsung.
Different reports pin the display at around 6.7-inch with a very slender ring, very similar to the Galaxy S25+ in size.
It will most likely use an OLED panel with a 2K resolution and 120Hz renewal speed. We expect it to offer a fingerprint scanner in the screen, although it may not be ultrasonic like the other S25 models.

Cameras
We know that the Galaxy S25 Edge is only supplied with two rear cameras, together with a Punch-Hole selfie camera.
It seems pretty sure that the main camera will be 200MP, just like the S25 Ultra, and the other camera -oriented camera will be a 12MP Ultrawrawide.
With a rumor of 12MP 1/3.2-inch sensor, the selfie camera seems to be the same as the rest of the S25 family.

Performance
It will be little surprise that the S25 Edge is expected to be powered by the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset as its stablemates -probably the clocked ‘for Galaxy’ version.
This is linked to 12 GB RAM, regardless of which model your PIC, K and the choice look like it is just 256 or 512 GB storage (not 1 TB option such as the Ultra).
Other things about the S25 edge that are expected or easy to predict are the recording of Android 15 with one onion 7, stereo speakers and Wi-Fi 7.
