An old city center complains a hidden bear holder and says that they have spent tens of thousands of dollars in legal costs to protect their drink license after he unintentionally fired his gun within the establishment.
The accidental dismissal took place around 12:55 pm on July 3, 2022, in the VIG, 1527 North Wells, according to the court case and CPD data.
Despite signs warning that weapons are forbidden in the VIG, the bar claims that a man named Michael Davis had a gun in his pocket and the shot, another patron injured the bullet of the floor ricoched. Davis consumed alcohol during his time at the bar, did not have the safety of the gun and failed to secure the weapon well, the court case claims.
The city filed complaints against the company in response to the incident, and the owners of the VIG claim that they have spent more than $ 83,000 to defend the bar in administrative procedures.
