The 17-year-old is accused of 'revenge' shooting of the student outside Phillips Academy High School

A high school student in Innovations traveled to another public school in Chicago to shoot a 14-year-old boy in revenge, officials said.

Dequan Thomas, 17, is accused of attempted murder of the shooting outside Wendell Phillips Academy High School, 240 East Pershing, on 7 May. Judge Antara Rivera ordered him to hold on awaiting the trial and said he ‘deliberately went to [the] School to take revenge. “

The victim was outside the school around 3 p.m. when he saw Thomas and started running away, according to prosecutors. Thomas would have fired at least four times a 9 millimeter gun and hit the youngsters in the right leg while trying to escape.

Officials said the recordings were recorded on video and several people identified Thomas in images from the images.

Thomas, who is reportedly admitted to the shooting, was previously arrested for possession of weapons, according to a detention -packed by Judge Rivera.

He is accused as an adult with attempted murder and worsened battery by discharging a firearm.
