The OnePlus 13 showed the first true efforts of OnePlus to increase his Oxygenos user experience with ingrained AI functionality, a basis on which the company continued to repeat. Now, however, OnePlus is ready to present his next generation AI functions, aimed at a new experience: AI Plus Mind.
During a closed event, OnePlus’ director Oxygenos and AI strategy -Arthur Lam spoke about where the company is subsequently taking its AI efforts, both in the short term (with AI Plus Mind) and with regard to what users can expect from OnePlus devices.
AI Plus Mind is the most important new function, which marks the next phase in the AI strategy of the company. Work in combination with a new special repository built into Oxygenos – called Mind Space – Plus Mind is designed to analyze screenshots, to extract important information from them and offer users dynamic actions that are relevant to the information recorded.
When testing, plus spirit extracted times, dates, locations, events and subjects, and offering one-touch agenda enforcements for simple planning. Those who have not tried anything that nothing is essential space (available on the telephone (3a) and telephone (3a) Pro) will find mind space familiar, but the functionality of OnePlus looks versatile from the start.

Mind Space also provides the curation and grouping of recorded screenshots in collections, with plans for this process to be automated and the content indexed and searchable within the AI search functionality of Oxygenos. Plus Mind also contains direct access to the screenshot or webpage from which it originally extracted data, for a greater context and easy access to source data.
Although most users will be able to enjoy AI Plus Mind when it comes to devices in the coming months via an OTA software update, the function will debut on the One Plus 13S, on the way to important Asian markets, including India.

The 13s is the first of the phones from OnePlus that throw away the iconic drine phase warning slide of the brand, in favor of the new plus-toothed programmable hardware knob on the left side of the phone (no different than the action button of the iPone) that must be recorded in the mind.
With regard to existing devices that miss the Plus key, the same action will be made possible by means of a new three-fingers sweeping on the screen.

Beyond Plus Mind, includes the upcoming Oxygenos AI functionality Ai voiceCribe-die transcription, summary and translation of calls, recordings, video conferences and videos, as well as AI call assistant (exclusive for India in the Launching)-that offers many of the same functionality.
OnePlus also consolidates communal translation tools in a new AI-Real language app, which will give quick access to text, speech, on the screen and camera-based translation functionality, all under one roof.
AI al function of Google, AI Best Face 2.0, is also set to arrive via a software update later in 2025, and promises better group recordings (up to 20 people) by setting common photographic faux pass, such as topics that blink in the middle or while talking.
All this new AI functionality is also supported by the company’s PCC (Private Computing Cloud), intended to keep related tasks safe, whether on whether they are on or non-device.
Beyond ai plus spirit
The existing AI toolbox from OnePlus and its dynamic context-conscious implementation impressed when I first rated the OnePlus 13. Plus Mind looks like a meaningful and valuable addition to the growing mobile first AI function set of the company.
The most obvious disadvantage is that, when pursuing privacy and security, OnePlus has not yet discovered how you can have content synchronized that have been recorded, processed and stored in the Mind space to your other OnePlus devices (such as the OnePlus Pad 2) or a new OnePlus telephone, when it is time to upade.
Lam also spoke about what to expect from future OnePlus AI experiences, and it sounds like both more personalized and agent AI are the name of the game.
While phase 1 (Mind Space, Plus Mind and the Plus Key) serves as a means of categorizing information and memories for easier recall, an LLM in the future is to integrate-Regular examples such as Deepseek, Gemini and GPT-4, but no chosen were chosen. The ultimate intention is to create more personalized results and experiences, tailored to your specific preferences.

Phase 3 would promote those properties, with better recommendations and suggestions, as well as deeper AI agent integration in Oxygenos, when pursuing a more proactive and automated user experience.
The question is, would you be willing to give up control over more of your digital life at the AI on your smartphone?
