Public Prosecutors have sued a man and a woman who violently attacked and robbed a 50-year-old man during a kaacking of a vehicle, after surveillance video has reportedly recorded them who had sold the victim’s stolen mobile phone for cash at a Walmart.
The incident took place on April 27 when the victim from his 2024 Dodge Ram 1500 stepped into the 2900 -block block of West 56th Street. Christopher Hickey, 36, and Stephanie Galarza, 35, would have attacked the man, eliminate two of his teeth and made him unconscious, according to judicial files. While the victim was unconscious, the couple shot through his pockets and he stole $ 2,000 to $ 3,000 in cash, his wallet and his phone, said prosecutors.
Galarza then drove the stolen truck, with Hickey in the passenger seat, to a reasons behind their home, where they reportedly removed extra money and building tools from the vehicle.
Researchers later discovered that the victim’s mobile phone had been sold for cash at a Walmart. Surveillance images were said to see that Hickey and Galarza sold the phone and wore many of the same clothing that they wore during the hijacking, according to the persecution. The police caught both a few days ago.
Judge Antara Rivera held Galarza and Hickey on the accusation of theft, kaacking of vehicles and worsened battery that caused a lot of physical injury. Hickey is also accused of obstruction of identification because CPD said he identified himself as “Clayton” Hickey when they prepared themselves to arrest him.
