Our opinion
The Ninja Max Pro checks the boxes for what you are looking for in an air frituse. It is powerful, has a fairly compact design and produces tasty, crispy, well -cooked food. The most important thing is that it will not break the bank.

Best prices today: Ninja Air Fryer Pro XL 6-in-1
If you are looking for the Gold Standard Air Fryer brand, Ninja is a safe gamble and a sturdy favorite here at Tech Advisor. However, some models (especially those with double drawers) can be a bit pricey for your budget and are not necessarily the best option if you have a shortage of the countertop space, like me.
Enter the Ninja Max Pro. This 6.2L/6.5QT air frituse is the ideal access model for most people, with easy-to-use settings, a sleek design with a surprising amount of space for your food, and great results that you can use to reach more and more to your frying pan and oven.
Note that in America this model is called the Ninja Air Fryer Pro XL 6-in-1, but the Build and functions remain the same.
Design and construction
- 6.2l capacity
- Surprisingly
- No Shake Alert
The biggest advantage of choosing the Max Pro compared to something like the Foodi Flexdrawer is that it is compact enough to fit in your kitchen without taking a huge amount of space (it measures 30.5 x 28 x 36 cm), but the 6.2L drawer has a lot of depth. You can see how it matches two chicken fillets cut in comics during my tests:

For a few it is the perfect size. If your household is larger than that, it may not be a direct replacement of the oven for your entire meals, but it is ideal for sections such as your meat, carbohydrates or vegetables.
Just like many other air fritents of the brand, it is made of matt black plastic with silver accents, although there is a version with copper edges if you prefer that finish. It is a trapezium shape, with a large handle to lift the drawer out and click it back in place.
For a few it is the perfect size
The disadvantage of plastic is that it easily picks up stains and markings and is not as premium looking as devices with steel panels. Nevertheless, it is robust and I never discovered any jankiness during testing.
There is a single sharper plate in the drawer and depending on which orientation you have placed, it is higher or lower in the drawer. The manual will instruct you which placement is most suitable for different modes – I usually had it in the lower position.
The sharper plate is dishwasher safe, just like the drawer. If you don’t want to wash after every use, you can buy liners to keep it free of the most loose fat and crumbs. I used papers for convenience, but you can also opt for more environmentally friendly silicone linings.

The control panel is located at the top of the Max Pro, with clearly labeled buttons for the power, the temperature and time. There are then six different settings to choose from: Max Crisp, Air Fry (the button that you will almost certainly reach the most), roast, bake, warm up and dry out.
All cooking settings Balk One can be adjusted from the temperature from 40 ° C to 210 ° C. Max Crisp, however, is set as standard at a much higher temperature of 240 ° C and cannot be changed. In the meantime, most cooking settings have a potential cooking time of 1-60 minutes, depending on the mode for which you choose. Considering, for making dried fruit, jerky and yogurt, offers until 12 hours.
There is no shake reminder, and that is crucial to ensure that even cooking for foods such as chips
If you are not sure which cooking mode you should use, the manual and prescription guides in the box give you a good idea of timings and temperatures. Moreover, many frozen foods now include special instructions for air fritzes. If they don’t, Ninja advises to follow the guidelines of the convection oven, but to lower the temperature by 10 ° C.
The screen has a timer countdown while your food is cooking, and the sound of the device is not too distracting – closing the door blocks most of it. In the meantime, the small beeps cut through enough to let you know when the cooking is complete.
There is no shake reminder, and that is crucial to ensure that even cooking for foods such as chips – my husband unfortunately fell victim to this. Not many Ninja Air Fryers, however, offer this function, even the premium models.
Because there is no viewing window, the only way is to check your food by opening the drawer. Fortunately, you can do this without problems and the timer will resume automatically as soon as it is clicked back in place.
There are no compartments for cooking things separately. You can buy third-party wire baskets from Amazon if you want multitasking, although these are not official Ninja products, so go to your own risk.

Performance and functions
- Six cooking modes
- High quality results
While the Ninja Max Pro Air Fryer uses up to 60% less energy than a traditional oven, it contains a blow when it comes to cooking.
You rarely have to put it at the highest temperatures, and it is best to choose less time and then add more minutes if necessary, because, like other Ninja Air Frites, it is powerful. Things will cook faster than you expect, as I discovered early.
Once I was it, the Max Pro produced excellent food. I had perfectly melted cheese sandwiches, well-boiled sausages and delicious home-made chicken fillets, all on the standard aircase setting. Make sure that if you cook something like fries, you periodically shake/turn for an even cook.
On the recommendation of our Resident Air Fryer Expert, I invested in an olive oil bottle. If you are not sure if you need it, the Ninja guide contains recommendations for how much oil you should use.
Unlike warming up the microwave, I was not left with soaked bases or soft outer hides
The baking environment, which uses a lower fan speed, was useful for things such as cakes and cookies, with gold and even results. Although yes, there is probably not enough room for a large cake or a bread, you can adjust a recipe to fit in this drawer. The cookies took a bit of falling and getting up, again something that you will learn more, the more you experiment.
I was pleasantly surprised by the warming, which I used for leftovers such as pick -up pizza and chicken. Unlike warming up the microwave, I was not left with soaked bases or soft outer hen-this tasted just as good as Pan-Frying to warm up your food.
The Max Crisp mode was a bit more difficult to come along. Because it is only the only temperature environment that is designed for frozen food, you have to take over a well -trained gamble how long you put on your food. I tried it out with a potato waffle, and although the result was as crispy as advertised, it brought my fire alarm into the process, causing a small heart attack.
I tried again with some Popcorn chicken baking paper, and that was an alarm -free experience, so I would advise to avoid performances when using Max Crisp.

Do you have to buy the Ninja Air Fryer Max Pro?
The Ninja Air Fryer Max Pro is very easy to recommend. It cooks food to a premium standard, does not take too much space on your counter and is a breeze to use to start up.
I would mainly recommend it for couples or smaller households. If you have more than four people to feed, then you will still be used, but it will probably not be able to cook your entire meal in one go, unless you just mock a bowl with fries (and all the strength for you when you are). There are larger models with double loads that may prefer, but these will cost you.
I wish Ninja would record a memory pip to shake/turn your food, but you can bypass this by splitting your cooking time if you are susceptible to forgetting. Otherwise this is a great air frituse that you do not abandon, and it is a great purchase – especially during the sales seasons.
