Galaxy Watch 8 series: In Summary
- Samsung’s 2025 flagship series of smartwatches
- Probably launch on Uppacked, tipped before July 9
- Two models are expected, a fixed one and the return of the classic
- ‘Squircle’ design will simulate the original Galaxy Watch Ultra
The Samsung Galaxy Watch 7 is one of the best smartwatches and best OS watches you can buy, and it seems that successors will soon be on the road in the form of the Galaxy Watch 8 series.
Samsung has not changed much with the Watch 7, although it had a number of welcome improvements, but things seem to get a shake-up for 2025.
This applies in particular to the design that the ‘squircle’ design assumes that is introduced with the original Galaxy Watch Ultra. The reintroduction of a classic model will be the most ultra -like of the two models if leaked views are correct.
There is a lot to unpack (Pun unintentionally) here, so this article will inform you of everything that Galaxy Watch 8, including the release date, price and specifications. We have completed and distilled the rumors from everywhere on the internet and added our expert analysis and opinion.
Galaxy View 8 last rumor
The Galaxy Watch 8-Series Smartwatches seem to be set to get an ultra-style design with a more square form, and Samsung can charge a subscription costs for certain functions that are comparable to Fitbit Premium.
When is the Samsung Galaxy Watch 8 released?
Summary
- July 9 seems to be the likely launch date
- A reliable Leaker says that this is when the next Samsung will take place packed event
- Rumor that they take place in New York and should also see the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2
There is not yet an official launch date for the Galaxy Watch 8, but we expect Samsung to confirm the following unpacked event very soon.
However, it is very likely that it will take place on July 9. This is via the old reliable Leaker Evan Blass, who says it will start at 10 am Edt, or 3 pm BST UK time.
That eastern time zone refers to the New York location rumors.
Regarding the release date, we expect Samsung to set up the smartwatches for pre-order immediately before they are brought for sale about two weeks after the unpacked, which means July 23 is our bet.
The launch event will probably also see the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 (or Ultra 2025), as well as the Galaxy Z Fold 7, Galaxy Z Flip 7 and more.
How much does the Samsung Galaxy cost 8 costs?
Summary
- The prices should not differ from the Galaxy Watch 7, about £ 300/$ 300
- The classic model will reach a higher price
Price leaks are less common than release dates, design and specifications, so we look at earlier strategies to get an idea of how much the Galaxy Watch 8 costs.
The Galaxy Watch 7 costs exactly the same as the Galaxy Watch 6, with prices ranging from £ 289/$ 299 to £ 319/$ 329 for the larger 44 mm variant of the watch 7. LTE connectivity to the mix put an extra £ 50/$ 50 on the price.
In Smartwatch terms, the Watch 7 launch prices were very competitive, making it one of the best value of smartwatches in that high-end smartwatch category. In Wijtages Smartwatch terms it was cheaper than the Pixel Watch 3 and Mobvoi’s Ticwatch Pro 5, which has fallen in honesty in price since the launch.
Tech advisor expects Samsung to not deviate too much from that price approach, although it can be led by what it chooses to offer at the Galaxy Watch 8, where we will get the next place.
If the Galaxy Watch 6 series is something to enter into (the last range with a classic model), the Galaxy Watch 8 Classic costs around £ 80/$ 100 more than the normal one.

What specifications and functions will the Samsung Galaxy Watch 8 have?
Summary
- The classic model comes back for the first time in two years
- Refend heavily influenced by the Galaxy Watch Ultra, especially the classic
- New health functions, including antioxidant index, but Samsung can charge a subscription costs
The classic is back
When Samsung launched the Galaxy Watch 7, Samsung decided not to offer a classic version and to omit a more bezel-dominating model for those who are not fans of the more streamlined, minimalist look of the standard Galaxy Watch.
However, it is almost certain that this model will return for the Galaxy Watch 8 series. There are numerous rumors and entries of the device in various certifications. And more recently, images leaked.

Design
After the Galaxy Watch 7 held with a really similar design as its predecessor, the Galaxy Watch 8 series will introduce a considerable overhaul in this department.
Both will exercise ‘squircle’ designs inspired by the original Galaxy Watch Ultra, with a square body with rounded corners. The image below of Evan Blass gives a fairly good idea of what the regular model will look like.
It has two buttons on the right, such as normal, but a completely different body. Not only the shape, but also how the belt is attached (which still seems to have the cotton equipment, such as the watch 7). Here it seems to be in a silver aluminum color, but we are sure that others will be available.
Beweg to the Galaxy Watch 8 Classic and it has a rotating bezel as nature meant. In fact, it looks remarkable like the Galaxy Watch Ultra with a few tweaks.

Evan Blass
It has metal cams where the belt is attached and a more formal look in this specific black and silver color, but still with set of orange hands for a dash of color. So, less sporty and more stylish in general.

Impressive blood pressure monitoring
Samsung was one of the first to introduce blood pressure monitoring options in its smartwatches, so that you could take blood pressure measurements directly from the watch (once calibrated by a traditional monitor). A patent submitted by Samsung suggests that Samsung is looking for improving those blood pressure monitoring powers.
The archiving figures using a more advanced blood pressure set that will be able to continuously check and detect blood pressure when you have drunk alcohol, exercise or your breath contains. This can help to determine the impact of those activities and others on changes in your blood pressure.

Samsung has already shown that it can innovate in this area, but with others such as Huawei who already offers comparable continuous blood pressure functionality, this can push what is possible from the wrist from a Samsung smartwatch even further.

More health functions, but you can pay
Even more new health functions come to the Galaxy Watch 8 series, including measuring carotenoid levels in 5 seconds (to indicate the antioxidant status, as well as food habits and general health). Samsung will call it the antioxidant index.
The watches are also tipped to have improved motivation and coaching for runners (what sounds like Samsung that the Pixel Watch 3 catches up 3).

Samsung
Running Coach will also be accompanied by bedtime guidance and vascular load as part of one onion 8 watch, based on Wear OS 6, has confirmed Samsung.
Samsung said it “will be available in the latest Galaxy Watch series.” The potential problem is that rumors have surfaced, which suggests that Samsung could introduce a subscription costs for certain Samsung Health functions.
Dr. Hon Pak, Senior Vice President and the head of the Samsung Digital Health Team said that the company is investigating a Premium Subscription Model.
It was thought that Samsung could introduce something similar with the Galaxy Ring, but it didn’t. However, it would not be uncommon because Fitbit Premium has been around for a long time.

Things we want to see from the Samsung Galaxy Watch 8
So we told you what the rumor mill is now going, but if it was up to us, what would be on our wish list for the Samsung Galaxy 8?
This is what we hope for.
Better lifespan of the battery
This could apply to the last few Galaxy watches, but we didn’t really see the improvement of the battery life on the Galaxy Watch that we would like to see. Or always use it with Rais to Wake of the Screen Set, the lifespan of the battery on the Galaxy Watch 7 that was better needed to be better.
We have now seen from OnePlus and Mobvoi’s Ticwatches, in particular that the lifetime of the Weearos smartwatch battery should not be so overwhelming. Improved battery performance would be high on our list of things we want to see in the Galaxy Watch 8.
A GPS boost
One of the biggest differences between the Galaxy Watch 7 and the Galaxy Watch Ultra beyond the clear size difference and more robust build was the precision GPS system that was included on the Ultra.
This is more often known as dual-band GPS on other smartwatches and sports watches and offers improved outdoor tracking when following activities that can usually hinder satellite positioning signal strength.
We hope that Samsung has found a way to bring this desired function for outdoor enthusiasts to its smaller watch to increase its sports refersion.
Bring Wireless Powershare back
It was disappointing to discover that because of the changes that Samsung applied to the Sensor Array on the Galaxy Watch 7, they had to throw away his wireless Powershare function, which was perhaps one of the best reasons to have a Galaxy watch on other smartwatches.
I hope that some work has been done to restore the position and give the Samsung smartphone and view owners an alternative and a very useful way to purchase their smartwatch.

Set health functions available to everyone
This is probably Wishful Thinking, but we imagine that there have been a few non-Samsung smartphone owners who have weighed the Galaxy watch to use the ECG and blood pressure functions on board to discover that you should use a Samsung smartphone to use them.
It feels unlikely that Samsung will change its position on that support, but if it did, it would increase the attraction of grabbing a Galaxy watch if you know you can use it to full possibility.
That is all we currently know about the Galaxy Watch 8 series so far, but we will update this article while we were unpacked in July. View our guide for the best smartwatches you can buy to find out more about what they will be against.
