Torilena Fields, a Kentucky woman who 'casts spells', arrested for dismembering and cooking body

A Kentucky woman who ‘cast spells’ was arrested by police after they found a dismembered and partially cooked body at her home.

Torilena Fields, 32, of Mount Olivet, was arrested Wednesday after police found body parts in a mattress in her backyard and in a pot that “felt warm” in her kitchen oven, the Louisville Courier-Journal reported, citing authorities.

She was charged with abuse of a corpse, tampering with physical evidence and obstructing government operations, Kentucky State Police said in a news release.

Police arrived at Fields’ home after receiving a disturbing call from a maintenance worker hired by Torilena’s mother, Trudy, the property’s owner.

That worker told police he couldn’t get into the house when he arrived Wednesday morning. As he walked toward the back, he was shocked to see a dismembered corpse in the yard, according to the report.

He told police he feared the remains were those of Fields.

The handyman told investigators that he and Trudy had a confrontation with Fields on Tuesday.

The accused desecrator began casting spells and behaving aggressively during the man’s visit the day before the arrest.

Police arrived in the afternoon, but Fields did not show her face until 11 p.m., after police obtained a warrant to legally enter the house.

Fields emerged from the house covered in blood and investigators found body parts throughout the house, including in the kitchen oven, where a hot pot contained disembodied pieces.

Remains were also found inside a mattress, stuffed, folded and dragged from the house to the backyard, leaving a bloody trail, according to investigators.

It is not clear whether Fields swallowed any body parts.

She was booked into the Bourbon County Detention Center on Thursday.
