This year autumn is not only the season of witches, with Agatha All Along and the musical Wicked causing a stir online. It also seems to be the season of clowns. Joker: Folie à Deux hit theaters in early October, and another clown movie, Terrifier 3, arrived in theaters a week later.
The new film in the Terriifier series once again follows the bloodthirsty Art the Clown on another murder and torture spree, but this time it’s festive! Initial screenings of the horror are said to have caused some viewers to walk out and even throw up – giving you a good idea of what to expect.
After the success of the previous films in the franchise, the new installment is expected to be an absolute Halloween hit.

The horror is currently available in cinemas.
In the US you can book tickets on the AMC Theaters and Fandango websites. In the UK you can get them at Vue, Cineworld and Odeon.

When will Terrifier 3 be released on VOD?
So far, Cineverse, the film’s distributor, has not announced a release date for Terriifier 3 on digital platforms.
Terrifier series slashers are independent films, so unlike Hollywood blockbusters, their path to home media is quite difficult to predict.
However, we estimate that Terrifier 3 will hit digital platforms quite soon after its theatrical release. The previous film in the series will be released on VOD platforms just 36 days after its theatrical debut. Based on that, Terrifier 3 may already be available for rental or purchase mid-November 2024.
Of course, these are just speculations and we will have to wait for Cineverse to confirm this date.
When can Terrifier 3 be released on streaming services?
The second film about the murderous clown was released on the streaming service ScreamBox 25 days after its theatrical release. However, it is unlikely that Cineverse will follow that path in the case of Terrifier 3. The film is creating a lot of buzz and the makers will probably want to attract as many viewers to the cinemas as possible.
However, there’s a chance we won’t have to wait long before Terrifier 3 debuts on streaming. An excellent opportunity to launch the film on ScreamBox is Thanksgiving – given the slasher’s ‘holiday’ theme, it could appear on the platform around November 28, 2024or closer to Christmas itself.
This date is just our prediction and has not been confirmed by the film’s distributor.
When will Terrifier 3 be released on DVD/Blu-ray?
As with the VOD and streaming release dates, we can trust our guesses here too. A good opportunity to release physical copies of Terrifier 3 will certainly be Christmas – in which case the film could hit store shelves around December 25, 2024.
It’s quite likely because Terrifier 2 was released on DVD and Blu-ray on December 27, 2022.
On the other hand, if the film is successful at the box office – and all signs point to it – Cineverse may delay sales of physical copies. In that scenario, the DVD and Blu-ray editions of Terrifier 3 may not be available until 2025.
