A sick person strangled a woman outside a Times Square hotel Tuesday morning, leaving her fighting for her life, according to police and law enforcement sources.
The maniac jumped the woman, strangled her, dragged her and left her unconscious on the sidewalk in front of the Riu Plaza New York Times Square Hotel at 305 West 46th Street, police and sources said.
Police sources say hotel surveillance footage captured the gruesome attack.
The unidentified woman, believed to be in her 30s, was rushed by paramedics to Mount Sinai Hospital, where she is unconscious and clinging to life, sources told The Post.
Police were called to the hospital around 1:16 a.m. after the seriously injured woman arrived. Investigators later learned she was beaten outside the hotel when staff alerted police, sources said.

Video from the hotel shows the creep forcefully dragging the mystery woman across the sidewalk, the sources said.
A photo obtained by The Post shows the accused attacker — wearing a tan jacket, black pants, black hat and white sneakers — walking near the hotel.
The NYPD said it is unclear whether the victim knew her attacker and what led to the shocking attack.
According to the police, the perpetrator was still on the run on Wednesday evening.
The attack came as assaults in the Midtown North Precinct are up 63.3% this year, with 245 crimes recorded as of Oct. 27, compared to 150 during the same period last year, according to NYPD data.
