Ford seems to be increasingly closer to launching a special off-road Supercar, after the global CEO of the Blue Oval had again reminded of making an even higher performance Raptor.
Spend against Top gear During the Ford Performance 2025 season launch in North Carolina, Ford CEO Jim Farley said that the car manufacturer is considering making an off-road Supercar, even if it does not yet know what form it would take.
“We are busy making something, so we don’t have all the answers yet, but the question is that Ford should make an off-road supercar? No version of a car, an independent supercar, ‘Mr Farley told Top gear.
“The reason that people from the Ranger Raptor keep in the UK is because it is a nice car, but the damping is very in accordance with.
“People don’t understand about off-road racing how compliant the damping is and that makes it a completely different experience to be in one [Porsche 911] GT2 RS.

“That’s what we are trying to answer. What do we do on a car? Is there a supercar? That is what we debate now. “
It is not the first time that Mr Farley has been talked about Ford who makes an off-road Supercar.
In 2023, after the Porsche 911 Dakar and Lamborghini Huracan Sterrato off-road-oriented supercars were launched, Mr Farley spoke about the possibility of Ford’s own take to Engine -boning.
“What would one [off-road] Supercar looks like? For me it would not be converted from a passenger car it would be a supercar that was invented to be optimized on the basis of. “
“I think there will be such a segment. The signals from Porsche and Lamborghini are good. “
Asked if the off-road supercar would borrow from the Ford GT, the last Halo performance model of the brand, Mr. Farley said: “No-I just say that I am always looking for what the next step is, like a good autolider.
The possibility of such a supercar comes as Ford’s reach of Raptor brand, continues to expand off-road-oriented models.
While Australia only gets the Ranger Raptor, there is the accompanying Bronco Raptor SUV and the larger F-150 Raptor-Pick-Up, which is equipped with a supercharged 5.2-liter V8 of the Mustang GT500 in Raptor R Guis abroad .
It is also a name that is used in racing, with Ford’s Dakar Challenger called the Raptor T1+, although this is a fully custom-made machine without production links, apart from the Mustang-disposed of V8 engine.
According to Ford Performance Global Director Mark Rushbrook, the company can do more to link its racing efforts to road vehicles.
“The mission of Ford performance is to have drenched as much motorsport as possible into the products that people can buy,” Mr. Rushbrook said Top gear.
“We love that we have an F-150, Bronco and Ranger Raptor, but we can do more.
“Yes, the Raptor T1+ at Dakar represents the ultimate Raptor in many ways, and we learn a lot from it, both in terms of the competition, but also in terms of feedback from customers, so I can only say it is up to date stays …”
Although it has beaten with production-based off-road special editions such as the Mustang Mach-e Rally Electric SUV and possibly even a Mustang-Coupé-based V8 variant for four-wheel drive, it was a long time ago that Ford had a standalone model built to do so to go off-road quickly as possible.
The mid-engine Ford RS200 of the mid-1980s was built to homologize the BRAGE B rally car of the brand, with its turbo engine and four-wheel drive, which means that it is one of the fastest accelerating road cars that does not translate into racing success.
