“But at that point there was so much money going into drugs that no matter how much I made, it just wasn’t enough,” she continued.
“One day I realized that if I didn’t change something, I would die soon.”
And drugs weren’t the only addiction Kim struggled with, she also fell victim to an obsession with plastic surgery.

However, she continued to use drugs and reached her lowest point when she could no longer pick up her daughter from school.
“I crawled into my closet and crawled over the tide and prayed,” she recalls in her book.
“God, please help me get off drugs. Please. I want to be a mother one day. I don’t want to be Houston anymore.”
After finally deciding to quit her job in the adult industry, Kim got clean and went back to college to get a broker’s license.
However, after her new boss found out what she used to do for a living, he quickly fired her.
And just a week after she was discharged, she was diagnosed with stage three cancer and given a 20% chance of survival.
Kim had 15 lymph nodes removed and fortunately survived.
Since her cancer scare, the star has decided to stay out of the spotlight and focus on herself and her family.
