A Lincoln Park man is facing multiple charges for randomly groping two nearby women on the same afternoon last month, including one who was riding a CTA bus, according to court records.
Jesse Goloven, 32, is charged with aggravated battery in a public place, aggravated battery of a transit passenger and criminal damage to property.
On the afternoon of March 7, Chicago police arrested Golovan in the 1900 block of North Sheffield Avenue after a CTA bus driver reported breaking a window on the bus, according to a CPD report. Later, a 21-year-old woman on the bus told police that Goloven approached her, said, “I need a favor,” and grabbed her breasts.
Investigators also linked him to a separate attack earlier that day in the 1700 block of North Clybourn Avenue. Prosecutors said surveillance video showed Goloven randomly approaching a 27-year-old woman nearby and taking her lower private area.
A third person reported Goloven knocked a coffee out of their hands the same day, although officials said no charges had been filed in connection with that incident.
Judge Antara Rivera granted the state’s detention request, leaving Goloven in jail pending trial.
