The 2025 Acura ADX is the brand’s newest gas-powered SUV.

Acura has just launched its completely new SUV, the premium, compact, gas -driven ADX to live next to the MDX, RDX, TLX and ZDX. Only the ZDX is electric, because the brand uses a conservative approach to the transition to EVs. However, by 2050, Honda Global CEO (the parent company of Acura) has a firm carbon neutrality firm for both its products and business activities. While Honda and Acura are planning to be 100 percent of the North American sale of the company to be battery-electric and fuel cell electric vehicles through 2040, the gas-powered ADX introduction of new technology. The innovative new functions include an adapted powertrain, sounded engineering in the cabin and a high -tech audio system.

After a long break, Acura’s Integra Sport Sedan returned for 2023 with a new form and an updated powertrain. The Instap Acura was born to be the nice new car for drivers who are luxurious for the first time, and it did well for the brand. The ADX has a lot in common with the Integra, including a similar ride feeling and sports -tailored suspension.

The 1.5-liter inline-four engine is derived from the integra’s. Although the Integra Base and A-Spec versions are good for 200 hp and 192 LB-FT torque, the ADX is 1.5-liter turbo engine with 4-cylinder engine 190 hp and 179 LB-FT torque. In addition, the Integra Type S records a notch with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with turbo vehicle that makes 320 hp and 310 LB-FT torque.

“The Integra has been a hit and we are planning to continue with the ADX,” says Matt Burnham of Acura. “The ADX is the integra of the Premium Compact SUV segment.”

Acura calls it a “gateway” vehicle for the Premium brand; With a starting price of $ 35,000 for a basic model, it is more likely to appeal to a wider and younger audience than its other models. Each ADX includes Acuralink, the cloud -based associated auto system from Acura and the built -in technology from Google. For safety, the ADX is equipped with new driver and front passenger airbags designed to reduce the main dress in a collision.

The interior even protects drivers outside a crash. The body-stabilizing front seats are kinesthetically designed to support the driver and passenger, especially on long disks. The bend of the seat floor prevents sliding forward, which can lead to fatigue while driving, and it centers the upper body over the pelvis to stabilize the upper arms and stare. Ultimately, all ‘take a break’ messages in the car cannot replace prevention, so ensure that the driver is comfortable, it is a long way to reduce fatigue on the body.

High -tech, sustainable audio

The ADX is aimed at a silent cabin reinforced by acoustic insulation in the hood, fenders, cap top and even the carpet. All the better to hear the music from the Bang & Olufsen sound system with 15 speakers. This is high-end audio-even Bentley and Lamborghini have B&O systems in their cars. At the top of the ADX-Line-Up, the A-spec with Advance package Acoustic Lens Tweeters, a substantial 8.8-inch subwoofer and 16-channel amplifiers.

“The Bang & Olufsen team tuns it off for the space within the ADX and takes precise measurements in the vehicle,” says Lauren Gabourel, manager of customer marketing with Bang and Olufsen. “Then it is tested with different sounds, frequencies and instructions to find out what the optimum placement is for the speakers and the sound levels.”

Bang & Olufsen also has sustainability goals. It hopes to achieve them by offering owners to help revise and restore products that are no longer manufactured by the company. It also makes products with which the user can change the battery without replacing the entire speaker. It may seem like a strange strategy for a consumer electronics company, which requires new sales to survive, but B&O is proud of the initiative.

“A large part of Bang & Olufsen is that they try to repair old products versus to just throw them away,” says Gabourel. “Let’s say that you have an old record player or old CD player and the customer does not want to throw them away.

The aim of the audio company is to renovate old products and keep out of landfills by preventing technological aging. Think of all the electronics that have been broken down in your own house over the years, such as a hair dryer or coffee maker that stops working. Bang & Olufsen wants to prevent his products from landing in the trash, and that preventive sustainability goes hand in hand with Honda’s recycling initiatives and quality materials in the factories.
