Amazon has officially announced its answer to super-cheap Chinese e-commerce platforms like Temu and Shein in the US.
Known as Amazon Haul, the platform will be available on the Amazon Shopping mobile app or website, and will offer a range of products for $20 or less.
In an official blog post announcing the news, Amazon said all available products have been vetted to ensure they are safe, authentic, and comply with local laws.
The company says the majority of products on Amazon Haul should cost $10 or less, although some will be as cheap as $2.99.
Shipping, on the other hand, costs $3.99, but is included for orders over $25. However, delivery will take longer than we are used to from Amazon: one to two weeks.
It appears to be completely separate from the regular Amazon shopping experience, meaning existing Amazon Prime members won’t be able to take advantage of free delivery or fast shipping.
All Amazon Haul purchases over $3 are eligible for free returns within 15 days of delivery.
Amazon Haul will initially launch in beta and will initially only be available to mobile users in the US. At this time it is unclear when Amazon Haul will be released elsewhere, including in the UK.
