AmeriTrust Mortgage hires Jett Farrington as COO

California-based direct lender AmeriTrust Mortgage has announced a new addition to its leadership team. The company this week welcomed veteran mortgage broker Jett Farrington as its new Chief Operating Officer.

Farrington joins a C-suite leadership team that includes CEO Chad Schoep and Chief Financial Officer Tapan Patel. The Arizona State University graduate announced his new role via a LinkedIn message on Monday. He expressed his excitement about joining AmeriTrust and helping the company continue its growth into 2025.

“I am grateful for this opportunity and very much look forward to helping take AmeriTrust Mortgage to new heights in 2025,” Farrington wrote.

Growth may be an understatement, especially since AmeriTrust will have funded more than $1.1 billion in loans by 2024, according to a Instagram post on the company’s website.

Farrington will look to expand AmeriTrust’s wholesale and retail business. He will also support the lender’s new non-delegated correspondent channel, which will launch sometime this year. AmeriTrust aims to reach an annual run rate of $3 billion by 2025. Farrington will deliver quality and efficiency to move the lender toward that goal.

Schoep said HousingWire that Farrington has a proven track record of leadership, expansion and expertise in the mortgage industry.

“Jett is a proven leader with a great track record of growing organizations efficiently and effectively,” Schoep said in a statement. “He has worked at large companies and small companies. Both established companies and startups. Jett has extensive knowledge of all things mortgage production, and we look forward to putting that knowledge into practice.

“In addition to helping notable companies successfully grow and scale their operations, Jett has built a strong and reputable reputation within the mortgage industry, especially within the non-QM space. Although the non-QM environment has grown large in size, the community of lenders within the non-QM environment is relatively small and tight-knit. Jett has built a reputation for success and world-class customer service-based operations,” said Schoep.
