Ross Hansen, the ongoing series of ethereal lighting fixtures of Ross Hansen, evokes in the field of design and function. The unique sculptural forms of the Los Angeles-based artist and designer combine hemp, bio-resin and aluminum to create alien floor lamps.
Hansen draws out of a background in landscape design, inspired by organic textures and forms in nature. In his recent exhibition Of human feelings bee Volume galleryLicht clusters resemble larger than life -sized fungi or microscopic organisms. Strips fabrics are provided in vegetable resin for stiffness and the enlightened lamps diffuse in the fabric.
