Anysphere launched a new $ 200 subscription plan for its popular AI coding tool, Cursor, announced the company in a Blog post On Monday.

The new plan, Ultra, offers users 20x more use on AI models from OpenAI, Anthropic, Google DeepMind and Xai compared to the $ 20 subscription plan, Pro. Anysphere also says that cursor users on the UltraPlan priority have access to new functions.

Anysphere CEO Michael Truell said in a blog that the Ultra plan was made possible by multi-year partnerships with AI model providers. In recent months, OpenAI, Anthropic and Google DeepMind have rolled out-to-have more expensive subscription plans for $ 100 per month to $ 250 per month-and part of an attempt to benefit and offer their energy users.

The new, expensive cursor subscription plan seems ready to add income to the already thriving activities of Anysphere. Earlier this month Anysphere announced that cursor had achieved $ 500 million in annual income And is used by large companies such as Nvidia, Uber and Adobe.

Anysphere was one of the fastest companies ever to reach $ 100 million in Arr, and it doesn’t seem to be slowing. Based on the earlier JS report, Cursor’s ARR has grown by $ 200 million since April.

However, the race to develop “vibecoding” tools is warming up, and many of the AI model providers that trust cursor develop their own AI coding products. OpenAi reportedly Cursor’s competitor, WindsurfTo strengthen its range of AI coding products. In the meantime, Anthropic Claude Code continues to develop, his internal AI coding tool that uses its popular AI models.

It is unclear whether Anysphere can support this growth level without encountering AI model providers. We have seen more competitive tactics arise in the AI coding space as these companies have grown. For example, Anthropic recently cut the direct access from windsurf to Claude AI models as a means to undermine the biggest competitor, OpenAi.

At the same time, Anysphere started placing more means for developing his own AI models that collaborate with models of OpenAi and Anthropic. In May Anysphere rolled one New “tab” AI modelthat code changes in different files can suggest.

In a recent interview with Techcrunch, anthropic co-founder Jared Kaplan said that he believed that Anthropic would work with a cursor for a long time. Anysphere’s multi-year partnerships with anthropic and other AI model providers certainly suggest that these relationships are not going anywhere. Nevertheless, the competition is becoming more intense for users.
