How much will the new iPad Pro cost?
While the exact price for the 8th generation iPad Pro has not yet been confirmed, we can expect it to be similar to the current iPad Pro models, which start at £999/$999 for the 11-inch model and £1,299/$ 1,299 for the 12.9. -inch model.
However, with rumors of upgrades such as the M5 chip and OLED screens, there could be a slight price increase depending on the configuration.
What specifications and features will the new iPad Pro have?
The iPad Pro (8th generation) is expected to feature major hardware and software improvements. Let’s break down the expected specs.

The iPad Pro 8th generation is expected to be available in 11-inch and 13-inch variants, both of which can support 120Hz ProMotion for smooth scrolling and responsiveness.
Performance
The 8th generation iPad Pro will reportedly be powered by the M5 chip (via wccftech.com), Apple’s next-generation silicon. This chip will likely be manufactured using TSMC’s 3nm process for improved performance and energy efficiency.
The M5 chip is expected to offer better CPU and GPU performance than the current M4 chip, with a focus on AI and machine learning tasks, making it ideal for professionals and power users.

In addition to the M5 chip, we can expect up to 16 GB of RAM in more expensive models, and storage options can go up to 2 TB for users who need enough space for media, apps and files.
According to DigiTimes, Apple may also introduce a self-developed 5G modem in new iPads by 2025.
Cameras
Apple is expected to improve the iPad Pro’s camera system to support even better photography and videography.
The rear camera could offer enhanced LiDAR capabilities for augmented reality (AR) applications, while the front camera will likely support Center Stage, Apple’s feature that automatically keeps the user in view during video calls.
Enhanced ProRes video recording is also expected, making the iPad Pro even more attractive to filmmakers and content creators.
Battery and charging
With the more energy-efficient M5 chip, the iPad Pro 8th generation could offer even better battery life than its predecessors.
Apple may also introduce faster charging options, which may support Thunderbolt 5 for faster data transfers and charging.
Foundry
As always, the USB-C port remains a key feature, supporting a wide range of accessories and external devices.
Software
The iPad Pro 8th generation will run iPadOS 18, which is expected to bring a slew of new features and performance upgrades.
Apple’s focus on AI and machine learning in iPadOS 18 will improve multitasking, with Stage Manager allowing users to easily manage multiple apps on screen.
Additionally, new Apple Intelligence features could improve workflows for creative professionals, with advanced video editing, design, and development tools.
