The Apple Watch is extremely popular and a new budget-friendly SE model should be on the road, but how long do you have to wait? While rumors are circulating, we investigate the Apple Watch SE 3.

When is the Apple Watch SE 3 released?
There is no official date for when the next generation Apple Watch SE arrives. Although Apple has been consistent with the launch windows of the previous two generations, the SE 3 did not arrive in September with the iPhone 16.
Instead, Apple unveiled the watch series 10 and a new black titanium color of the Ultra 2, and it launched the watch SE 2. The confused first when it went up with the same release date, but it turns out that new tires had arrived.
Recent events set the SE 3 and Ultra 3 In doubt and it now seems likely that both will arrive in 2025.
Mark Gurman agrees in his most recent Power on -newsletter for Bloomberg, which says that “the Ultra and SE will be updated in 2025”, and adds that “Apple’s hardware innovation is delayed, so it’s logical to two years of saving functions to make a larger splash ”.

How much does the Apple Watch SE 3 cost?
Again, we have had no confirmed details about Apple prices, because the product does not yet officially exist. So we have to look at the previous generations for guidance. This is how the basic models are set up:

The British prices were actually slightly higher in the launch, but this seemed linked to the high inflation and distribution problems caused by the Russian invasion of Ukraine. The prices have now fallen to the current figures, perhaps illustrating a correction in the market.
We cannot see that Apple increases these asking prices a lot, because it would not want to get too close to the more premium models. So we would expect that the Apple Watch (3rd Gen) will be on very similar levels as the second generation model that replaces it.
What new functions will we see in the Apple Watch SE 3?
As you probably suspected, Apple continues to get tight about what we can see in the next generation of his watch.
However, some rumors and leaks have already surfaced, along with some free obvious upgrades that usually mark the release of a new model.
This is what we think you should expect from the Apple Watch SE (3rd Gen).
New design
According to Marc Gurman van Bloomberg, the new Apple Apple Watch Sal can have a new design. Last year’s speculation of Gurman suggested that a plastic body could be introduced to keep the costs low.
This change can either define the new design direction or, in an ideal scenario, align the Apple Watch SE with a more contemporary Apple Watchesthetics.
If a plastic body is indeed part of the redesign, the Apple can enable to offer a wider variety of colors for the device, making it more attractive for a wider audience.
Faster processor
This is not difficult, because Apple always brings a new generation chipset to its improved devices.
The Apple Watch SE (2nd Gen) is currently using a S8 SIP (system in package), and it seems likely that the newer model can be blessed with the S9 SIP that can be found in the Apple Watch 9 and Apple Watch Ultra 2 .
In the meantime, the relevant upgrades go to those models to the S10 SIP. The S9 would deliver improved performance compared to the S8, thanks to 60% more built-in transistors, able to process machine learning tasks twice as quickly as its predecessor and GPU performance that is stimulated by around 30%.

Larger displays
Another strong rumor is that Apple will change the design of the Apple Watch SE (3rd Gen) to match the Apple Watch 7.
The reason for this is that the platform will enable the 40/44mm display grouts to the larger 41/45mm that was introduced with the watch 7.
In real terms, this would give the raised panels about 20% more room for information – and the Mickey Mouse Watch faces.
Health Upgrades
An area in which the SE models are left with the Premium models in the field of Fitness. Although the most important versions are supplied with ECG, SPO2 tracking and a temperature sensor, the SE has none of these.
It was quite broadly speculated that the SPO2 function might find its way to the SE 3 watch, but that is now in doubt, after Apple became engaged in a fight with a company called Misimo, that claimed that the technology was violating its patents.
This resulted in the watches with the function on board removed from the boards. They now come out with the function (in the US).
Because of this continuous disagreement, it is uncertain whether Apple will continue to introduce the position in the new SE model.
