Although the Apple Watches series 1 to 10 is regularly launched annually, the same cannot be said for the Apple Watch Ultra: the first generation of Apple Watch Ultra was released in September 2022, the second generation came a year later, in September 2023, and just less than six months ago, Apple added only a new color, Titanium Black.
There are now increasing signs that the Apple Watch Ultra 3 will be released in the fall 2025 and it will compete with the Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 and other smartwatches.
This was apparently confirmed by supplier analyst Jeff PU from GF Securities in Hong Kong.
In one of his notes to investors, PU claims that three more Apple products are launched in 2025: Apple Watch Series 11, Apple Watch Ultra 3 and the Lang-Rumed Homepad 6 ″ (the term ‘6 ″’ probably refers to the 6-inch diagonal screen size).
The route map also shows the release date for the AirPods Pro 3, Apple Watch Series 12, a new Vision Pro, Vision, Air, Smart Glasses and an Apple Watch with blood surveillance.
If his calculations are correct, Apple will release the Ultra 3 next to the series 11, probably in September with the iPhone 17 series. The new generation is expected to switch to mobile communication of the third generation instead of LTE, as well as a direct satellite connection.
In recent years there have been rumors about the new display with technology guided by micro, but this may not flourish.
In addition to new functions, Apple still has to solve its legal problems and re -activate a function that is forbidden, at least in the US – oxygen measurement.
The general scope of the comments shows the willingness to stay with the old models as long as they retain the oxygen saturation measurement and the battery is fairly healthy.
At the beginning of 2024, Apple had to disable the oxygen saturation measurement on Apple Watch Series 9 and Ultra 2 in the US via a software update until the legal dispute over patents with an American company Masimo has been resolved.
